Clamming

One part of a nature tour might include clamming. This is a shallow-water activity where you can leave the boat, pick up a rake, and dig for clams with your family. Any legal-sized clams that you find you may keep. Expect to dig up enough for a nice meal in less than an hour.

The most productive clamming trips coincide with the low tide.

Please wear wading shoes, ones with thick soles and a closed toe. Many sharp objects lie on the sound floor.
